Position Summary:
The Lead Scientist of Clinical Research will be responsible for overseeing, leading, and guiding clinical research efforts, ensuring they are carried out efficiently, in compliance with regulations, and within budget. This role involves high-level collaboration with internal teams and external partners, as well as strategic input into research priorities and opportunities for funding and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trial Planning & Execution: Manage clinical trials, ensuring timely andbudget-compliant completion.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure trials meet government standards and regulations.
- Operating Procedures & Guidelines: Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures and research guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence in clinical research, and develop high-performing research teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including external contract research organizations (CROs).
- Strategic Oversight: Report progress to upper management, drive the strategic vision for the research department, and seek opportunities for external collaborations.
- Funding & Commercialization: Develop strategies to secure external funding and commercialize research outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee clinical research performance, ensure research integrity, and contribute to organizational goals, such as publication targets and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Knowledge Management: Keep up-to-date with scientific literature in relevant therapeutic areas.

- Experience & Leadership: Proven experience in leading interdisciplinary research teams, motivating them to complete complex projects, and contributing to strategic planning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, industry stakeholders, and academic leaders.
- Research Funding & Collaboration: Experience in working with national and international research organizations and funding agencies.
- Confidence & Problem-Solving: Confidence in decision-making and problem-solving to manage complex challenges.
- Consulting & Relationship Management: Strong skills in consulting,negotiation, and managing relationships with external organizations, including governments and industry bodies.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and manage resources efficiently.
